Cyber Security Awareness
Digital technology has made our lives easier and brought innumerable benefits to society. However, we are also facing new serious threats in the form of cybercrimes. Due to a lack of proper knowledge, many of our children, youth, corporate houses, and innocent people are unintentionally falling into its trap, becoming both offenders and victims of these crimes. Additionally, aged people are particularly vulnerable as they may struggle to keep up with rapidly evolving digital security practices, making them easy targets for fraud, scams, and other cyber threats.
Promote the dissemination of knowledge about cybercrime, including its legality, technical aspects, types, occurrences, modus operandi, magnitude, and preventive measures. Educate people on the safe use of computers, laptops, tablets, smartphones, internet, Wi-Fi, bank cards, e-banking, and social media to safeguard them from the threats of cybercrime. Conduct lectures and seminars in schools, colleges, and universities, with a special focus on professional, technical, and engineering institutes. Expand these educational efforts to include social and business associations and clubs, ensuring a broader reach and impact in the community.
