Prof. (Dr.) Yogesh Chandra Sharma has an experience of more than 22 years in the field of Innovation, Research, Teaching and Academic Administration of Science and Technical Education Institutions. He has worked as Dean (R&D) and Dean (Faculty of Basic and Applied Sciences), Professor and Head, Department of Physics at various technical institutions and Universities. During these years, he has taught and guided to Forensic Science, Physics, Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical and other Engineering students.
His innovative skills were acknowledged by reputed organisations and ten different projects worth 5 Million INR were sanctioned to him from DRDO; IIT-Bombay; IUAC, New Delhi; Raja Ramanna Centre for Advanced Technology (RRCAT), Indore etc. He has been the mentor to ten different experiments at RRCAT, Indore using Synchrotron radiation. He has developed a thermoelectric properties sensing device and established an Advanced Thermoelectric Laboratory during his research work for IoT and smart Thermoelectric devices.
Prof. Sharma has supervised 11 PhD degrees and 8 scholars are working under his supervision for their doctoral thesis. He has mentored 20 PG dissertations and 25 UG projects. He has been involved as an Advisor cum mentor to 3 projects sanctioned by RTU-TEQIP.
He has published about 50 papers in International and National Journals and Presented about 70 Research Papers in International and National Conferences.
Prof. Sharma is Member, American Physical Society; Vice President, Indian Association of Physics Teachers, RC6; Treasurer, Rajasthan Chapter of Material Research Society of India; LM-Indian Physics Association; LM-Indian Association of Radiation Physicists and LM-Indian Society for Technical Education.
He was awarded for Innovative Experimental Skills at 33rd Convention of Indian Association of Physics Teachers (IAPT) and Annual General Meeting (AGM), IAPT held at Ranchi from 29 to 31, October 2018.
Under the Innovation Hub Initiative of IAPT, he has been instrumental in establishing 10 different Innovation Hub’s at different locations throughout India.
